Gordon Ramsay’s pub restaurant: The Narrow, Limehouse

Gordon Ramsay’s – The Narrow

So, Gordon Ramsay isn’t having the best of times at the moment. This week, even his ‘arch enemy’ Marco Pierre White has been fighting his corner. But last Sunday (though I’m certain it wasn’t made my the man himself) we enjoyed a delicious meal at one of his London restaurants. The Narrow is near Limehouse (I think that’s the closest tube) and situated right on the Thames. It’s a beautiful spot (as far as the Thames goes). I had steak cooked in butter with hand cooked chips. Yum yum. The tomatoes were the best I had ever had with a steak. Instead of being those tasteless beef tomatoes I have come to expect, they tasted like sunblush. On our table we also had beer battered fish and chips and partridge (very lean) with curried parsnips. All got lots of praise. Although the majority of staff could learn to crack a smile, The Narrow comes highly recommended indeed – a perfect sunday lunch outing.
x 2 steak and chips
hake and chips
partridge and vegetables
x 3 pints of Aspall cider
non-alcoholic cocktail

= £100

Ooh, the food looks yummy! I've never been to one of his restaurants and had been doubting them ever since his recent troubles but it seems that they're not too bad! Nice post.
