The best way to explore ‘Dover Street Market’ (super cool London store) is to take the lift to the forth floor and start with a cup of tea and homemade crumble. Laid out on the wooden tables are a selection of magazines, including 10 and Wallpaper. My fellow diners have in the past included a middle aged woman with acid purple hair, wearing a geometric patterned dress, fishnet tights and black patent wedges. Across from her, the handsome Gieves & Hawkes muse who works part-time at DSM, tucking into a salad. Whilst I flipped through Wallpaper a few days ago, a group of Japanese friends take a seat – Chanel, as always, the logo ‘de rigueur’ in accessories. DSM is truly cosy and not at all like you might imagine from the exterior décor. If you have an interest in fashion (and people watching) this market is definitely worth going to town for.
