It’s taken a few seasons, but jumpsuits are now fast becoming a wardrobe staple. Hemlines are raised for summer and cute playsuits in pretty patterns are popping up all over the high street.
Here’s what the Toronto Sun have to say:
“Jumpsuits represent a certain liberation and freedom of women’s fashion and represent effortless fashion at its best,” says designer Kirk Pickersgill, of Greta Constantine.
Most styles are loose and flowing, cinched in at the waist or hip with a belt or sash. Others feature drawstrings at the ankles to gather in fullness for softly structured harem styling
I’ve been enjoying my slouchy River Island zip front jumpsuit for a few months now and I think it’s time to invest in this easy solution to those “I have nothing to wear mornings” and those nights out that are still a bit too chilly to brave a skirt.
